Acoustic polyester designer sound absorption panels for
New Zealand restaurants, bars, fitness centres, offices, homes and studios.

Designer Polyester Acoustic Panels

Wall and ceiling acoustic panels for Cafes, Restaurants, Bars, School Classrooms, Gymnasiums, Halls, Home & Professional Studios and Offices. Providing superb sound control and cool looks, these Designer Range panels are rigid and at 200 KG/M3 density have a superb finish and classy looks in any setting. They have a low 24mm profile and are therefore ideal in rooms with a 2400mm height ceiling. Their rigidity also means they are ideal for suspension e.g. over a meeting room table. The panels are manufactured in one piece i.e. they do not have layers glued together. Therefore our panels are 100% recyclable and meet the highest sound absorption and fire ratings.

Sizes
- White, Black & Grey Marl ceiling & wall panels: h: 1200mm w:600mm x 24mm thick with square edges.

Fire Rating - A Rated - Non flamable.

Fixing - May be glued using contact adhesive (e.g. ADOS F2) or hung/suspended using our new Suspension Kits. Suspending all our panels from the ceiling or gaping them from the walls has a very significant effect on the sound absorption. The gap doubles the sound absorbtion at bass and low mid frequencies. Please see graph below for results.

Full instructions, guidelines and options for fixing and placement are included in all packs.
Installation is easy and quick for any handy-person or builder.

Application - Ceilings and walls - 24mm panels.

Coverage
School Classrooms, Cafes, & Commercial (using 24mm thick suspended or direct glued ceiling panels) - approximately 36% of the total ceiling area for most school classrooms and commercial applications including restaurants, cafes, bars, offices and meeting rooms.
Studio - placement is the key to successful recording and mixing studio acoustics. The three key areas are early reflection damping (primary sonic reflections), corner bass frequency trapping and rear wall behind mixing position damping. Please see diagram below.
Home Theatre - similar requirements and placement to studios. The main difference is the side wall panel placement which is typically further back in the room mid way between the speakers and listening position.

NRC24mm = 0.75 (NRC = Noise reduction coeficient. A measure of a panel's overall sound reduction/absorption ranging from 0=zero to 1=100% absorption).

A suspended 24mm panel can compete with a 50mm panel. For example, a 50mm panel (direct to substrate) at 125hz has an NRC rating between 0.15 and 0.23. However a 24mm panel (50mm gap) at 125hz has an NRC rating of 0.36 and a 24mm panel (150mm gap) has an NRC rating of 0.55 at 125hz.
