- Budget Polyester Panels For Studios
- Budget Polyester Accessories
- Fabric Professional Panels For Cafes, Restaurants & Bars
Wall, ceiling & bass trap panels with excellent sound control properties and good looks at an unbeatable price. Ideal for home & professional studios and home theatres.
Manufacture | Bonded plastic fibre @ 35 Kgs per M3 density. Light, no
irritation, eco friendly, washable, fade resistant, fireproof & 100% NZ building regulation compliant. Easily cut
with sharp scissors or knife. Due to their very light weight and semi rigid design they are the only acoustic
product that can be easily fixed to or hung from walls and ceilings without sagging or deformation.
|
Sizes | Ceiling & wall panels are w:600mm h:1200mm with square edges.
Corner bass trap panels are w:300mm h:1200 with square edges. |
Thickness | Ceiling & wall panels are typically 25mm thick (50mm also available).
Corner bass panels are 50mm thick. |
Colours | White with attractive black facing cloth on front side. Panels are designed for commercial and industrial acoustic applications and may therefore have some wrinkles and minor manufacturing blemishes. However this in no way effects their performance. |
Pack Size | Studio & home theatre acoustics pack includes eight 1200x300x50mm
bass traps and five 1200x600x25mm wall/ceiling panels.
Additional panels and fittings may be added to this pack - see accessories section below. |
Fire Rating | A Rated - Non flamable |
Fixing | May be glued using contact adhesive or fixed with medium to large sized Velcro dots or strips. |
Application | Ceilings and walls - 25mm panels (50mm optional).
Corners - 2 x 50mm bass trap panels for each corner (stacked 2 high). |
Coverage | Commercial (using 50mm thick suspended ceiling panels) - approximately 36% of total ceiling area for most commercial applications including restaurants, bars, offices and meeting rooms.
Studio - placement is the key to successful recording and mixing studio acoustics. The two key areas are early reflection damping (primary sonic reflections) and corner bass frequency trapping. Please see diagram below.
Home Theatre - similar requirements and placement to studios. The main difference is the side wall panel placement which is typically further back in the room mid way between the speakers and listening position. |

Acoustic cloud anchors, spacers and panels. These may be purchased separately or with above studio & home theatre acoustics pack.
Cloud
Anchor
manufacture
| Make yourself an acoustic cloud - the most effcient method of absorbing reflected sound in a studio or home theatre.
Plastic anchors that screw into the back of a panel and allow easy suspension from the ceiling.
Suspending a panel from the ceiling by 25mm or greater increases noise absorbtion by 2-4 times. This is the same effect as corner bass traps where the gap behind the panel does most of the work.
Use 5 anchors per panel, cut slits in the back of the panel 120mm in from the corners, one in the centre then hand screw in the anchors.
|
  |

|
Spacer | Inexpensive method to offset panels 25mm from walls or ceiling.
35mm diameter x 25mm rigid, black, closed cell foam lightweight spacers with PSA (contact adhesive). This gap will at
least double the sound absorption of your panels (five per panel glued 120mm in from the corners and one in the centre).

|
Edge Tape | Matching Black Fabric Tape
is available and may be glued to the edge of panels where you require them to meld in with a black ceiling.
|
Wall or Ceiling Panel | Extra 1200x600mm budget polyester panels, white with
black facing cloth either 25mm or 50mm thick. |
|
Bass Trap Panel | Extra 1200x300mm budget polyester bass trap panels, white with black facing cloth 50mm thick. Typically stacked two high across corners of the room to absorb bass frequencies and reduce "boominess" of rooms. |
